• runny nose
  • rhinitis
  • laryngitis
  • swollen glands
  • hay fever

Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, serrapeptase relieves symptoms of:

  • multiple sclerosis
  • lupus
  • rheumatoid arthritis
  • diabetes
  • osteoporosis
  • MS
  • ankylosing spondylitis

The enzyme is also beneficial for many lung and respiratory conditions like bronchitis, asthma, bronchiectasis, emphysema, cystic fibrosis, bronchial asthma and pulmonary tuberculosis. Conditions like:

  • breast and ovarian lesions
  • fibrocystic breast disease
  • breast engorgement
  • cysts
  • varicose veins
  • blood clots
  • angina
  • arterial diseases
  • cardiovascular diseases
  • muscles or joints inflammations
  • strain injuries
  • leg ulcers
  • enlarged prostate
  • post operative swellings
  • traumatic swellings

can all be prevented or treated with the serrapeptase enzyme. Moreover, it’s extremely beneficial for post operative patients because it speeds the healing.

  • Medical benefits

Many tests and studies were conducted in order to assess the medical benefits of serrapeptase. One of them tried to see the effects of this enzyme on people that suffered from chronic lung conditions. They were given 30 mg of serrapeptase daily for one month. At the end of the study, the expectoration, the coughing, the neutrophil count of the sputum, the elasticity and viscosity of the sputum and the sputum weight were definitely decreased.

Another test wanted to observe how serrapeptase acted on swellings and jaw pain that occur after a dental surgery. The study involved 24 participants that were healthy, but needed a dental surgery. A surgeon conducted 2 sessions to remove the teeth. A local anesthesia was used. Randomly, individuals received 1g of paracetamol with either placebo or serrapeptase. In just a few days, those who took serrapeptase reported that they had less pain and cheek swelling.

A study was conducted on 20 persons who suffered from carpal tunnel syndrome. They were first subject of electrophysiological studies and after that they took 10 mg of serrapeptase twice a day. Another electrophysiological analysis was taken at the end of a 6 week study. 65% of the patients reported that they experienced an improvement in their overall health. Improvements were proved by electrophysiological tests. Only 4 individuals had a recurrence, but there weren’t any side effects.

Specialists tried to see if the serrapeptase enzyme is beneficial for breast engorgement. Therefore, they started a trial on 70 individuals. They were given either placebo, or Danzen, a medicine that contained serrapeptase. As usual, serrapeptase was proven to be more efficient. 85% of the participants who took the enzyme claimed to have less endurance, breast swelling and pain. Compared to them, just 60% of the placebo group reported the same improvements.

A test on rats was conducted in order to evaluate the serrapeptase’s intestinal absorption. 100 mg of proteolytic enzyme was administered to rats and after 2 hours the studies revealed that the serrapeptase was in the plasma. This shows that, when administered orally, serrapeptase is absorbed from the intestinal tract and conducted in the bloodstream. In this phase, the enzyme is in its active form.
